He announced that they are proud to have effectively reduced the inconvenience of travelling to jails every time one needs to communicate with a loved one.


People behinds bars are humans, some even innocent, and need to connect with their loved ones, in order to make their lives in jail easier. As stated by Rick, the company has in the past helped children connect with their parents in jail, helping them complete their homework. Also, these virtual visitations have been instrumental in creating evidence against convicts.


Although their competitors have been attacking the company for having influence on how traditional visitations will be held, Rick clears the misunderstanding by stating that the video visitations will have no effect on the onsite visits. He stated that the competitors were using this lie to confuse innocent clients who know little about how correctional agencies conduct their various processes.


According to this press release. The Securus video visitations have enabled increased visitations, achieving 160,000 visitations per month. This has been able to save people money and time used in moving to jails, every other scheduled visitation. Also, it allows families communicate with inmates more frequently.
